Swimming World Magazine Social Media Intern to Social Media Assistant at USA Olympic Trials
Problem Swimming World Magazine needed consistent, timely, and brand-aligned social media coverage across multiple platforms while managing high-volume content, major national events, and intern-led production with a lean team.
Solution I supported and led social media content creation across Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads using Adobe Express, Photoshop, and Canva. I designed and edited graphics and videos while monitoring breaking news and trends to inform real-time posting. I managed posting schedules, developed marketing overviews and performance analyses, and ensured content aligned with Swimming World Magazine’s brand voice. During major events, most notably the Olympic Trials, where I created original content, researched and published timely updates both in advance and live from the event, and oversaw all intern-produced content to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency. As project manager for the 2024 NCAA campaign, I led a team of 8 interns, coordinating content creation, communication, and deadlines to deliver cohesive, on-time materials. I also developed and executed a comprehensive marketing campaign to secure donor funding for the International Swimming Hall of Fame, overseeing the project from research through final delivery.
Outcome The combined efforts delivered consistent, high-quality coverage for major swimming events, strengthened brand consistency across platforms, supported strategic decision-making through analysis, and enabled successful large-scale campaigns, including NCAA coverage and donor-focused initiatives
